We all have friends. A lot gets talked about friendships. Everyone wants a true friend, and many of us believe that we have a friend who can be called a true friend. What kind of relations do friends share? When can we call a friend a true friend, and when can our friends take us as their true friend. After a romantic relationship, friendships are the most important relationships we can have. Though all of us have family and distant family, most of us rely on friends for advice, comfort and inspiration. How do we define a relation that can be called as one of true friendship?
The very first sign of a very good friend, not necessarily a true friend is that we are not worried about courtesies. You will call your friend at any hour and talk without any thought of time in your mind. Similarly, whenever you need support, you will call a very good friend and ask him/her to help you out. They expect the same from you. Another important trait of such relations is that we are not much worried about exposing ourselves. We speak about everything in our mind without worrying about what our friends will think. We are sure that they will take our talk in the spirit it was made.
A true friend is a little more than a very good friend. A true friend will support you even if it hurts his/her own interest. A true friend will understand your motives and needs and will be with you without any analysis or criticism. A true friend will come forward to help without any request and be with us in need without showing it or expecting anything in return. With a true friend, you can be sure that you will get help to the extent possible by him/her. Nothing will remain unturned. A mother is a true friend of her children. If we share such relations with an adult we can say that we are true friends.
A true friend makes no excuses of having work or appointments or anything but will be with you whenever you need him/her. In your hour of desperation, a true friend will support you even if the whole world opposes you. A true friend is not an opportunist. A true friend means to have someone who is like mother, as I said earlier. Instead of having hundreds of good friends, if you have a true friend, treat yourself lucky. If you can also become a true friend of someone, you will be blessed, because it is much easier for all of us to expect but very difficult to give. Be a true friend!

Decorate your Kitchen
Kitchen is the most used area in my house especially when we have a family member who loves to cook. This room is also a favorite amongst house owners for renovation. Who wouldn’t want to have a kitchen that looks nice and is also well equipped for your cooking? One of the simplest thing that you can do is to change the kitchen counter-top. If you have had that kitchen counter-top for years then it’s time for an upgrade. You can search for beautiful kitchen counter-top that are perfect for your budget. Try going to your local stores for some window shopping. It is important that you find your kitchen counter-top complementary to the theme that you have for your kitchen.
Laminate Floor can also make your kitchen look good. Next in line are your kitchen cabinets. Make it a point to have lovely cabinets since they are usually the first thing that people notice. Ask your trusted contractor about which materials are best for your kitchen cabinets. You can choose the designs that you want and then show them to your contractor. Next, replace your lighting and plumbing fixtures. Make sure that you change the kitchen sink and the faucet too. It is important that you pick lighting fixtures that will be wonderful with the rest of your kitchen stuff. Adding some floor lamps and pin lights around the kitchen will prove to be wonderful for the aesthetics of the kitchen. You can also add a few framed pictures that goes with your theme on your kitchen walls.

Make a Difference (Part 2)
Along with interaction, there are other ways you can start to contribute. Go just a little bit further each day by helping out around the office. Maybe one day you can clean the microwave dish in the break room, or refill the coffee pot even if you weren't the one to take the last cup of coffee. It doesn't take much or long to help out in other areas, and you'll also be surprised at how it can even help you take your mind off of work if you're stuck with a difficult problem. It also make your workplace just that much better.
Your thoughtfulness doesn't take much, and you can take it a little bit further and earn recognition in the process. Bring a bowl of candy to the next meeting or volunteer to help out with a company event. The goal is to remain fairly low-key and not to draw too much attention to yourself. Remember to be yourself and do what comes naturally to you. If there's something you want to change about your workplace, why not start with making some change yourself and leading by example? There's no matter way to make a difference and you'll quickly see how it affects others as they start to do the same.
In the end, you should remember that it's easy to fall into the trap that work is something that you put the bare minimum in and then give up, especially on a bad day. Rather, you can make a difference just by changing your thinking and attitude. Examine the life you're living at work and ask yourself if it's what you truly like, or if there is something you can change to make it better. Once you start to feel satisfied at work, you'll feel more in control of your surroundings and as if your efforts are truly making a difference within the company.

Make a Difference (Part 1)
Making a difference in the world doesn't actually have to be committing to volunteering and donating within your community. As most of us are swept up in our hectic lives, it seems more reasonable to focus our efforts on where we spend our time - making a difference in our workplace. This doesn't necessarily mean you have to start working hard or longer, rather, commit to small changes that are made by being aware of your environment and how your presence change things. Sometimes, these smaller efforts are the best way to have an impact or your work world.
Let's start with the idea that you don't have to be in the service industry to reap the benefit of being courteous and polite. So often we overlook our attitudes as we are swept away in our workload, and we forget that cheer and manners aren't just something that should be put off. Everyone is cheered by a little honest friendliness. The trick is not to strain yourself, as people are turned off by false politeness even if they don't consciously register it. If it isn't easy for you, start small with a little extra eye contact when thanking someone for a favor, and move forward from there. Also remember its okay to break yourself from your work every once in a while to take the time to connect with your fellow employees, even if it's just a quick wave and a brief chat. More importantly, approach the situation openly, sometime work is a good topic if they are in a good mood, but other times it's just nice to pull away to a topic that doesn't involve stress.
