The Holodomor

This is Holodomor that reveals the truth about the famine happened during the Soviet Union period. Let us see its significance. Hope you all are aware of the word “holocaust”. The actual term “Golodomor” refers to mass hunger. In order to publicize the fact, differently the word holodomor was chosen in order to relate it with holocaust.

The soviet famine created many problems in and around the society. It affected the major grain-producing agricultural areas of the Soviet Union. Industrialization and collectivity were the principles of the governing authorities. In order to sustain these principles, the republicans seized grains and started to export to the western part.

It is really pathetic to imagine the past. This incident would have created much loss to the Soviet Union. Many would have lost their lives due to holodomor. Everyone suspected it to be "an act of genocide” but was actually rejected by the parliament to term it as such. This incident was then termed as a crime act planned by Joseph Stalin.
