Flipkart.com

Flipkart, founded by the Bansals in 2007 is now being headed by Kalyan Krishnamurthy since 2016. A Billion dollar firm with more than 70 million active users way back in 2019. Despite all the efforts, the people in India slowly atarted to buy products from few other popular e-commerce websites. Flipkart.com has not faded yet but it has become unattractive to the customers in the recent times. With the technology getting upgraded every now and then, I strongly would say the company needs to make efforts regain its market in India. Recently the company has done a $700 million payout to its employees who hold the stock options with PhonePe. It is commendable. People, look for the new year offers at Flipkart. Happy 2023.

Child Labor

Although I am sure many older teens cringe at the label, the laws which govern the employment of anybody under the age of eighteen fall into the category of "child labor law". These laws are meant to shield minors from exposure to dangerous occupations, while recognizing that as kids and teens get older they are capable of working longer hours or in more challenging employment.

Child labor laws vary between jurisdictions, often quite significantly. They may have different rules as to minimum ages for employment, hours that can be worked, and required permits. The following article presents an overview of typical child labor law rules. For more specific information, please check with the government office in your jurisdiction which regulates child labor. Often, they will have websites, brochures, or posters which summarize the governing rules and restrictions.

In many jurisdictions, before a minor can obtain employment the minor must produce a "work permit", usually issued by the school the minor attends. Generally speaking, the purpose of this requirement is to ensure that employment doesn't interfere with school performance, and that kids who are having trouble in school aren't being overtaxed by their employment. A few jurisdictions require a physical examination before a work permit can be issued. Some jurisdictions have never required work permits. Other jurisdictions, finding that schools don't actually exercise any real oversight or fear that troubled students will drop out if denied the opportunity for employment, have dropped the requirement of work permits.

Advantages Of Internet!

With the increasing popularity of the world wide web over the decade, internet marketing plays a vital role. It has become a trite that anyone and everyone can earn a lot through a marketing company. Isn't it so interesting that everything is just a click away? Apart from the internet marketing, WWW has provided us the ease of accessing across the globe. You can connect with your dear ones sitting somewhere else in the world and can have a lively voice chat as if he is sitting next to you. Another major advantage is that you can get online. Just browse for your favorite product and place a order online. You can very well link your credit card and make your payment. Make the best use of it. Happy Living!

Probate Attorney

Choosing a car accident lawyer for a personal injury claim isn’t easy. It’s important to find an accident attorney who specializes in communicating with insurance companies and working with victims. There are a number of things to consider when selecting a car accident lawyer including credentials, costs and customer service. A written agreement or “retainer” from the car accident lawyer provides assurance that rights are protected. This document also outlines the terms of the contingency fees. If there is dissatisfaction with how the accident lawyer is handling the case, they can be replaced. Before firing a personal injury lawyer, it’s important to take the time to explain the reasons for the termination. If the reason is that the case is taking too long, or a suspicion that the Probate Attorneys Austin TX isn’t doing their job, this might just be a simple case of miscommunication.  If there is some kind of irresolvable dispute, state bar associations offer arbitration and resolution services. In the event that a personal injury lawyer acts in a way that is deemed unlawful or unethical, a complaint can be filed with the state for further investigation. Check with the local bar association to make sure that a car accident attorney is properly accredited. The bar can provide background information about personal injury lawyers to help with the selection. Determine the exact amount of costs and fees associated with using an accident lawyer before making any decisions. If costs seem prohibitive at any or all personal injury lawyers, check with local Legal Aid resources to learn more about qualifications for receiving free legal assistance.

The Diwali Week

As a good start of November, I am here to give you some good info about Diwali. Diwali is celebrated for five days and the day wise importance is as follows:

The first day of Diwali is called Dhanvantari Triodasi or Dhan Theras. The second day of Diwali is called Narak Chaturdasi. It is the fourteenth lunar day (thithi) of the dark forthnight of the month of Kartik and the eve of Diwali. On this day Lord Krishna destroyed the demon Narakasur and made the world free from fear. The third day of Diwali is the actual Diwali. This is the day when worship for Mother Lakshmi is performed. On the fourth day of Diwali, Goverdhan Pooja is performed. The fifth day of the diwali is called Bhratri Dooj. It is a day dedicated to sisters.

Diwali ~ The festival of Lights

Diwali is popularly known as the festival of lights. It is an important five-day festival in Hinduism, Sikhism and Jainism, occurring between mid-October and mid-November. For most of the hindus/Indians and working class, this is the biggest festival and the day when they want to be with their families and perform the prayers together in their homes. Deepavali is an official holiday in India.

The name Diwali is itself a contraction of the word Deepavali which translates into row of lamps (in Sanskrit). Diwali involves the lighting of small clay lamps (diyas) filled with oil to signify the triumph of good over evil. During Diwali celebrants wear new clothes and share sweets and snacks with family members and friends. Some Indian business communities begin the financial year on the first day of Diwali, hoping for prosperity the following year.

In Hinduism, Deepavali marks the return of Lord Rama to his kingdom of Ayodhya after defeating (the demon king) Ravana, the ruler of Lanka, in the epic Ramayana. In Jainism, Diwali marks the attainment of moksha by Mahavira in 527 BC. In Sikhism, Deepavali commemorates the return of Guru Har Gobind Ji to Amritsar after freeing 52 Hindu kings imprisoned in Fort Gwalior by Emperor Jahangir; the people lit candles and diyas to celebrate his return. This is the reason Sikhs also refer to Deepavali as Bandi Chhorh Divas, "the day of release of detainees". Deepavali is considered a national festival in India and Nepal.

Naxalism

The naxal challenge faced by different states in the country has heightened the interest in the study of naxalites and their ideology in recent years. Though a bulk of literature has been written on the history of naxalite movement, almost all of this focuses on the history of naxalite movement that happened in Bengal and Andhra Pradesh. But, most historians writing on this area has overlooked the fact that impact of Naxalbari revolt and Srikakulam revolt were far-reaching and in several parts of the country there were attempts to start a naxalite movement on similar lines. As the figures compiled by the Union Home Ministry indicates, from September 1967 till the middle of 1969, there has been a marked increase in the incidents of occupation of land, demonstrations demanding land for the landless, agitations for increase in wages of agricultural labourers etc. in different parts of the country. One can draw very important lessons from the study of history of rise [and fall] of naxalism in these areas.

Most studies so far have been content to study the history of only those regions where naxalism became popular. This paper focuses on the history of naxalite movement in a state where it failed to take root-Kerala. And it is for this very reason that a study of history of naxalite movement in Kerala is important. What is it that prevented the growth of naxalism in Kerala? The purpose of this paper is to answer this interesting question.

Another important theme this paper addresses is the causes which led to the rise of Naxalism in Kerala. This question is important because, unlike in other states, naxalism did not emerge in Kerala due to the stark class contradictions existing between the landlords and peasants; but it was initiated by a number of other factors; though the presence of contradictions gave an impetus to the movement. The project investigates these other factors which led to the rise of naxalism in Kerala. The first theme is inter-related with this second theme in that the factors which gave rise to naxalite movement also play a bearing on the death of the movement.

Try to learn HINDI

Learning Hindi is helpful for every Indian. The reasons are as follows: First of all it is our national language. Everything can be found in Hindi right from train ticket to telephone bill. Secondly if we travel to north India, except four states in the south all the people speaks Hindi whatever their mother tongue may be. Also many people know Hindi in southern part of India also. If you are employed in north India, without Hindi you cannot manage (though you will be forced to learn it in some period of time). There are a lot of places in north India where you can manage if you know Hindi if you go alone say along with your newly married wife or hubby to places like kulu, manali etc. Also if you want to get employed in any central government job, knowing Hindi is compulsory. Secondary reasons are as follows: Most of the good films in India are in Hindi language only. Some people say if you know Hindi automatically, Sanskrit falls in place easily which is the language of the God. Whatever your mother tongue may be, learn Hindi first because many beautiful girls and handsome guys have Hindi origin (though they speak English always). So wake up now and start learning Hindi right from now!

The South Indian DOSA

Breakfast is the mark of civilization, but it has become the most ill-served of meals. It deserves a leisurely journey, not the grab and run to which it is subjected. Think of the full English breakfast and then think Egg McMuffin. And if you prefer the latter you deserve to be given the bamboo, put in a steamer and turned into a puttu. Not only has it missed the bus, in the bid to catch it every morning, breakfast has been bypassed in all the to-ing and fro-ing of food fashions. When brunch became the next big thing, you would have imagined that it would have slipped back into our life with the ease - and entitlement - of a sausage in a skillet. But it was not to be. The 'unch' overwhelmed the 'br'. Overwhelmed by the handis, no wonder the bacon curls up and dies on restaurant buffets.

Only the aficionados save the day. In every city, there exists a small band of valiant fighters crying 'Poha/ upma/ sanna/ aloo parantha is my birthright, and I will have it.' Setting out at break of day, they sniff out the alleys where the real McCoy isn't coy about its true place in the culinary sun. They make little notes in the Glutton's Guide to the Galaxy of steamed, stir-fried and sizzled local breakfasts - and sometimes even write pretentious essays on the subject. Forget the impostor indices of knowing how many strands of saffron are too many or getting into a dill se discussion on the sea bass. The real differentiator of those who truly know their onions is their attitude towards the perfect akuri. How far they will go for it, how long they will wait for it, and how fiercely they will defend the fact that said onions in said ambrosia must be sliced, never chopped.

Every region of India has its divine breakfasts, and to search and try them out is to get a taste of heaven. For starters, early morning is the best time for an adventure as urban as culinary. The pollution hasn't yet overpowered the mist, fumes haven't overwhelmed the aromas, the city is still stirring not stomping and shouting. The sun is still cradled in gentleness. Even a sharp chill eggs you on as you set out for hot jalebis dipped in scalding brass tumblers of milk or paranthas sizzling as a hearty dhabawalla strikes his tawa with all the ceremony of a butler sounding the dinner gong.

The Commonwealth Games

The Commonwealth Games is a multinational, multi-sport event which features competitions involving thousands of elite athletes from members of the Commonwealth of Nations. Organized every four years, they are the third-largest multi-sport event in the world, after the Summer Olympic Games and the Asian Games.

As well as many Olympic sports, the Games also include some sports that are played mainly in Commonwealth countries, such as lawn bowls, rugby sevens and netball. The Games are overseen by the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF), which also controls the sporting program and selects the host cities. The host city is selected from across the Commonwealth, with eighteen cities in seven countries having hosted it.

The event was first held in 1930 under the title of the British Empire Games. The event was renamed as the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in 1954, the British Commonwealth Games in 1970, and gained its current title in 1978. Only six teams have attended every Commonwealth Games: Australia, Canada, England, New Zealand, Scotland and Wales. Australia has been the highest scoring team for ten games, England for seven and Canada for one.

There are currently 54 members of the Commonwealth of Nations, and 71 teams participate in the Games. The four Home Nations of the United Kingdom – England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland – send separate teams to the Commonwealth Games, and individual teams are also sent from the British Crown dependencies of Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man (unlike at the Olympic Games, where the combined "Great Britain" team represents all four home nations and the Crown dependencies). Many of the British overseas territories also send their own teams. The Australian external territory of Norfolk Island also sends its own team, as do the Cook Islands and Niue, two states in free association with New Zealand. It has been reported that Tokelau, another dependency of New Zealand will be sending a team to the 2010 Games in Delhi, India.
