My Payroll with the company!

The Payroll processing deals with generating the pay slip for the employees. The financial record of employee’s salaries, wages, bonuses, net pay, and deductions is maintained. This project is very much useful in determining the Gross and Net salary of the employees using their basic pay. The calculations involved are done and the details of the employees are stored in the database. A Wonderful Morning it was!

It was an unforgettable journey to work yesterday. I usually go by bike to my workplace but yesterday (Why I don't know..) changed my mind and decided myself to go by bus. It was already late and I boarded 576 Volvo and manged to get a seat. Bus was about to start and to my surprise, Chips came in. Oh oh! All the seats are occupied and she was standing (pity!). I started feeling restless (felt like offering my seat to her). Oh God! My legs are paining. Soon in the next stop, the person next to me got down and yeah CHIPS occupied that seat (Ah! My goodness).
Quickly decided to start up a conversation (Oh sh**! How do I start???).

The conversation between 3 of us (Me,Chips and my mind voice) started by then..

Ch: Hey! you work in Mphasis right?
Mind Voice: Adi paavi.. unaku theriyadhaa..
Me: Yes. So How are you?
ch: Hmm.. So which project?

Me: CCC and you work for GGG right?
Ch: Oh yes. How come you know it?
MV: Hayio..
Me: I knew Mr.X working in your project and so...

Me: By the way, What's your name?
Ch: Am *** (With a cute smile ) and you?
MV: OMG! Sema smile da macha!!
Me: Nice name. Am Ravi.. Do you know Tamil?
MV: Yenda yennn???

Ch: Hmm yes.. Which college?
MV: Man, the bus is in Guindy. Dont put mokka. Ok! Control.
Me: Sa.. You? are you a Keralite?
Ch: Aamam.. Kerala Brahmin. (Girls R Girlz.. They always answer only the last question).
MV: Ada apadiyaa?? Paravala, this girl is candid.

Me: hmm good..
Ch: So can I have your number?
Me: Sure. Its 9**********. Yours?
Ch: Wait. I will give you a miss call..
MV: Scene podra de.. Yen sonna korajaa poiduva..

Ch: Save my number.
Mv: Oh My God! Thanks a lot.
Me: Started typing.. C H I P S.

Ch: (She forcibly took my mobile and noticed the name) Enna dhu Chips ah? why why?
Me: It's your nickname.
Ch: A Weird Look!!!!!!! What? Who kept it?
Me: My friends..
Ch: Ah! everyone knows me ah???
MV: yooo.... kittaka vandhutom..
Me: Actuall....

All of a sudden, my Mom calls me, "dei it's already 7.55 AM.. Enna kanavaa?"

Me: ERrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!
Me: yes it was a beautiful dream ever!!! Good morning Ma.

A Good Day @ Work

Dear bloggers, it is a great start of the month. Had a very awesome morning. I say this because its the salary day as usual and this time I have got something extra. Also, they have calculated and have given me so called an interest amount. On the work front, it was a hectic day which made me sit in my chair for almost 11 hours. Oh! how many issues? Huh!!! Mostly, Friday's will be full of fun and frolic and this time it was full of work.

Today is a great day to be remembered for the reason that it was my favorite lead Mr.Ramanan's last day in our organization. Just a great person he has been. He had taught me a number of technical stuffs and I myself got confidence in developing applications only because of him. Though I had not spent much time with him, he has always been an inspiration for me. For everyone of us, someone would induce the spark within ourselves. I would gladly say it's Ramanan in my case. When it comes to workplace, everyone peeps in, everyone will look for a better opportunity and peep out. Though it is quite natural, somewhere my heart cries for missing such a wonderful person in my workplace. This post is a dedication to you sir!!!

A Memorable Day!

Today, am so glad that I went into the EDS data center server management room. It was a kind of different experience for me and I was happy to learn something out of it. At the very entrance, I felt it so cold and those two hours, I felt as if I am living in a state of 2 degrees. Ah! How many devices properly stacked and a hell lot of connecting cables, CPU boards, PCB's, chips and so on. Never had I thought that data centers would be planned and maintained in such a neat manner. I was asked to take the backup of our project applications as there was some server activity lined up. I learnt a lot from the techie guys maintaining the server and it was very different from the usual work schedule. Just a memorable day indeed!

Life @ work

Hi friends, work goes on cool nowadays as we were asked to minimize the number of change requests. In a candid manner, I would like to say that there is not much of work for us to do. It seems better but technically we are moving downwards. I say this because when there is a development activity, we learn a lot ourselves. As far as I am concerned, I would implement those concepts which I know, will take the help of my seniors, surf the web and it will be very challenging to code. I myself will feel as if I have achieved something when I successfully implement a new concept. For me, everyday is a lesson at work.

On the other side, it is just a mere time pass at work. We used to have a cheap city breaks for about 20 min for coffee and our lunch goes for a maximum of 70 min. But nowadays, we sit in cafeteria for long hours and thereby chit chat the day to day happenings in & around. It will be full of fun and looti. Added advantage is that we can go to office anytime and can come out as we wish. Having studied in a very strict college, workplace seems to be a heaven for me. Life is quite enjoyable @ work.
